Sterling Real Estate Investment Management was founded in 2006 by Anthony Wardle.  

Anthony has over 35 years of experience of the investment and development market throughout the UK, formerly being investment director at Ashtenne plc, and head of UK investment at Property Fund Management plc. He has undertaken investment acquisition and disposals in excess of £2.8 bn across the industrial, retail, office, leisure, and health care sectors since 2001.

He has established and managed numerous investment vehicles in limited partnerships and unit trust structures in Jersey, the UK and the Isle of Man, working with Mourants, Ogiers and Equiom on behalf of several UK and international institutional investors. Whilst at Ashtenne he was responsible for a number of initiatives including the company’s commencement in the fund management business, establishing a fund specialising in trade related property.

Whilst at Property Fund Management plc / Teesland plc he established the Industrial Trust (an onshore multi-investor property unit trust), which grew to over £400m gross asset value when he left the company in 2005, as well as establishing a £150m joint venture with the Government of Singapore (GIC), and £250m joint venture with the Royal Bank of Scotland plc. In total, the portfolio under his direction comprised over 16 million sq ft of property throughout the UK.

Since leaving Teesland in 2005 he formed Sterling Reim and he has also undertaken a variety of joint ventures and consultancy roles.  The joint ventures have included:

• A private industrial investment property company which undertook approx. £40m of acquisitions and subsequent disposals.

• A private Jersey unit trust with a private investor to invest in logistics properties.

• Formed an active bond holder club with institutional investors to agitate for change at Brixton plc in 2009 with significant returns on equity.

Sterling Reim has undertaken several asset managemet consultancies as well as advising on over £1.4bn of transactions. Sterling Reim's past and present clients include Hansteen Holdings Plc, Mansford Capital, Delancey, CLS Holdings plc, George Capital, First Alliance Investments, Carisbrooke Investments, South Street Capital, Colony Capital, Quidnet Capital, Starburst, Clearbell Capital, Invesco and Tosca UK Commercial Property Fund.
